Last summer BIC joined with City Council members and was able to pass 3 Home Rule Petitions to address the foreclosure crisis in our city.

We had an action.
We had people.
We had a voice.
They heard us.
Our local representatives LISTENED to US.

But it may seem that nothing has happened....or has it???

Those Home Rule Petitions helped move a state bill called the Foreclosure

That Bill, with support from Brockton, made it through the Senate.
It would help families facing foreclosure actually have an opportunity to speak to their bank.
It would keep good tenants in their homes.
So where is it?????

WELL, BIG banks don't like the idea of sitting face to face with their clients or of keeping tenants...

What can we do?????

CALL!!!!! On Monday June 14 and Tues June 15th call your representative.
